Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 2026
The UK Diabetes Dietitian is committed to making our website accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible.
We aim to ensure that everyone, including people with disabilities, can access the information and services available through our website.
Our approach to accessibility
We are working to make our website as accessible and user-friendly as possible. This includes considering accessibility when creating and updating our website content, design and functionality.
We aim to follow recognised accessibility principles, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
We aim to provide:
- Clear and easy-to-understand information
- Accessible and consistent navigation
- Appropriate headings and page structure
- Text that is easy to read
- Alternative text for relevant images
- Forms that are as accessible as possible
- Compatibility with commonly used browsers and assistive technologies
Accessibility of our content
While we aim to make our website accessible, some content or features may not yet fully meet all accessibility requirements. We are continually reviewing and improving the website and will consider accessibility as part of future updates.
How we checked this website
In October 2026 the website was checked with automated tools: every page for colour contrast, and the homepage for headings, image descriptions and form labels. It has not yet been tested by people who use assistive technology, such as screen readers.
Known limitations
- Our booking calendar is provided by Calendly. We cannot control how accessible it is. If you have difficulty using it, please call or email us to book.
- Our free guides are PDF documents, which may not work well with screen readers. Please contact us if you would like a guide in another format.
- The spam check on our sign-up forms may occasionally ask you to confirm that you are human.
